Tulane University
Mackenzie is working towards a Master of Science in Sports Studies from Tulane University. She was admitted into The School of Professional Advancement is August of 2022 and is on track to graduate in May of 2024. While in school, Mackenzie is also a graduate assistant for Tulane Athletics.
Undergraduate Education
Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania
Mackenzie graduated Magna Cum Laude from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Communication/ Journalism and a minor in Human Communication Studies. Achieving Dean's List all eight semesters and being awarded top 20 GPA in Shippensburg University's Department of Communication/ Journalism, all while playing collegiate soccer, has been one of her biggest accomplishments thus far.

Academic Honors
Scholar- Athlete
Mackenzie has been recognized by the PSAC as a Scholar-Athlete during her undergraduate years playing soccer. A PSAC Scholar-Athlete has maintained a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average while competing in an intercollegiate varsity sport.
DII Athletic Directors Achievement Award
The NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award was presented to Mackenzie to recognizing her success in the classroom as a student-athlete. To achieve this award, student-athletes must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have attended a minimum of four semester worth of college credits and have been an active member their intercollegiate team.
CJM Top 20 GPA
The Communication, Journalism and Media Department's Top 20 GPA Award was received by Mackenzie the week before commencement. This award is only can be received by students who have achieved a senior status in their education in the highly competitive ACEJM Accredited program.
Mark Lipper Scholarship
Mackenzie had the honor of receiving the Mark Lipper Journalism Scholarship. Recipients must be Communication/Journalism majors who have achieved senior status and a minimum grade point average of 3.2. Applicants must be active members of their student media as well as submit an essay outlining career ambitions.
Raiders Student Success Scholarship
Mackenzie received a tier-ranked scholarship determined by her high school GPA. Qualified full-time students receive a guaranteed scholarship for eight continuous Fall and Spring semesters.
10 Time Dean's List Student
Mackenzie has achieved a 4.0 in her first two semesters at Tulane University. In undergraduate, the Shippensburg University College of Arts and Sciences awarded Mackenzie all eight semesters with the Dean's List honor. The Dean’s List is an honor roll of full-time students who have achieved academic excellence as evidenced by earning a semester Quality Point Average of 3.50 or better.
Club Involvement

Tau Kappa
Social Media Chair
Tau Kappa is an athletic honors sorority at Shippensburg University. Female student-athletes that meet a GPA requirement are welcomed to join their other female athlete peers to follow the club's mission that focused on service, celebrating each other's achievements and mental health. For three years, Mackenzie served as the Social Media Chair where she was a content creator and content curator for the sorority's social media.

Raiders L.E.A.D.
President
Raiders L.E.A.D. is a highly selective club for student-athletes to become better leaders. L.E.A.D. stands for Leadership, Emergence, and Development. Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Dennis Kerstetter, former Director of Academics for Athletics Chartice Wyatt-Thermal and current Director of Academics for Athletics Trejon Dinkins, selected Mackenzie to be the President of this club.

SUTV News
Sports Anchor, Sports Director and Sports Sideline Reporter
Over the span of four years, Mackenzie has served as the Sports Anchor, Sports Director, and the sideline reporter for SUTV. As the Sports Director, Mackenzie would brainstorm content for the show, assign stories to her team members, create packages, and write readers before the show aired Thursday evenings. When Mackenzie was the Sport Anchor she read off of a teleprompter as well as adlibbed her sports segment. As the sideline reporter, Mackenzie studied stats and rosters in the days leading up to the game, would be apart of the pregame show with the color coordinator, gave mid-game and injury updates from the sideline, and conducted post-game interviews with players and coaches.

The Hidden Opponent
Member
The Hidden Opponent is a non-profit advocacy group for student-athletes mental health. CEO and founder Victoria Garrick provides a platform for student-athletes to use their voice to empower others around them and to let them feel heard. Mackenzie's mental health story was selected and featured to an audience of over 44K people. Applying that bravery to her campus chapter, Mackenzie listened to the mental health struggles of her peers, attended meetings and event speakers to gain a new perspective and proposed ideas to better the mental health of Shippensburg student-athletes.

National Honors Society of Leadership and Success
Inducted Member
The National Honors Society of Leadership and Success is the number one leadership honors society in the United States. As a member of NSLS, Mackenzie was able to identify her career goals. Through meetings, she was able to identify on her leadership style and apply it. Through this organization, Mackenzie was surrounded by like-minded individuals that wanted to see her succeed.

ONESHIP
Student Representitve
ONESHIP is committed to upholding the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion by creating and sustaining an anti-biased and anti-racist environment in athletics and in our broader communities. Mackenzie has helped planned and run events such as the ONESHIP Unity Week, Privilege Walk, and Welcome Back Bash. Mackenzie attended bi-weekly meeting throughout the school year and the summer to make a difference in her community.
